Description

A high grade of DTPA acid is manufactured by Shiv Chem industries since 1987.We are leading manufacture and Exporter of DTPA acid. Raw materials used for manufacturing DTPA acid are monochloro acetic acid, soda ash, diethylene triamine, caustic lye and hydrochloric acid. It is sequestering agent or chelating agent. It is a white free flow powder Insoluble in water. It is also known as Pentetic acid. (DTPA).

Handling

DTPA acid causes serious irritant to eyes and skin. While handling this product, please wear goggles, gloves and safety shoes. Handle with  care, no hooks allowed. In case of large spillage wash it with plenty of water. In case of injury to skin, wash it with water and then wash thoroughly with neutral soap and water. Regardless of the seriousness of the case, medical attention should be sought.

Storage

DTPA acid is stored in a cool dry place. Ensure proper ventilation in storage area. Keep them away from heat sources, direct sun light and moisture. It is stored in container made of, or lined with polyethylene, polypropylene or high density polyethylene.

Packing

DTPA acid is packed in 25 Kgs HDPE bag / Paper bag containing polyethylene liner inside or as per customer's requirement.

Applications

• DTPA acid is a Sequestering Agent or chelating which is used in various Industries such as Pharmaceutical, Photography, Textile, Boiler Turbinescale removal.
• DTPA Acid is also used in laboratory reagents, soaps and detergents, and boiler turbine scale removal.
• DTPA acid and DTPA salts are uses a lead Chelator.
• DTPA has been considered for treatment of radioactive materials such as plutonium, americium, and other actinides.
• DTPA acid is normally administered as the calcium or zinc salt (Ca or Zn-DTPA), since these ions are readily displaced by more highly charged cations and mainly to avoid to depleting them in the organism.
• DTPA is also used as MRI contesting agent .
• DTPA improves the resolution of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
• DTPA is also used as aquarium plants fertilizer. The more soluble form of iron, Fe (II), is a micronutrient needed by aquatic plants. In pulp and paper mills DTPA is also used to remove dissolved ferrous and ferric ions.
• DTPA can protect bleaching agents and prevent scaling in paper industry. It can be used to stabilize formulations.
• DTPA acid helps preserving the oxidation capacity of the hydrogen peroxide stock which is used as oxidizing agent to bleach pub in the chlorine-free process of paper making.
• DTPA chelating properties are also useful in deactivating calcium and magnesium ions in hair product.
• DTPA is used in over 100 cosmetic products. DTPA is used as a micronutrient to promote plant growth.
