Description

A high grade of EDTA acid is manufactured by Shiv chem industries since 1987. We are leading manufacturer and exporter of EDTA acid. Basically, it is used as a chelating or sequestering agent. EDTA acid is a synthetic amino acid and available as a white free flowing powder, insoluble in water. EDTA is hexadentate ligand. Raw materials involved are monochloro acetic acid, sodium carbonate, sodium hydroxide,ethylene diamine and hydrochloric acid. It can also be manufactured in other countries from formaldehyde, ethylene diamine and sodium cyanide or hydrogen cyanide but the EDTA, thus manufactured contains a trace amount of Nitrilo Tri Acetic acid, as unwanted impurity. It is also known as Ethylene diamine tetra acetic acid, edetic acid or edathamil.

Handling

EDTA and its strong solution causes serious irritant to eyes and skin. While handling this product, please wear goggles, gloves and safety shoes. Handle with care, no hooks allowed. In case of large spillage wash it with plenty of water. In case of injury to skin, wash it with water and then wash thoroughly with neutral soap and water. Regardless of the seriousness of the case, medical attention should be sought.

Storage

EDTA acid is stored in a cool dry place. Ensure proper ventilation in storage area. Keep them away from heat sources, direct sun light and moisture. It is stored in container made of, or lined with polyethylene, polypropylene or high density polyethylene.

Packing

EDTA acid is packed in 25 Kgs HDPE bag / Paper bag containing polyethylene liner inside, or as per customer's requirement.
