Description

A high grade of Monochloro acetic acid is manufactured by Shiv Chem Industries at Naroda GIDC since 1987. We are leading manufacture and Exporter of Monochloro acetic acid. It is manufactured by using Acetic acid, acetic anhydride and Liquid chlorine at high temperature. It is a white colour crystalline solid with pungent odor. MCA is highly soluble in water as well as most of the organic solvents. It is also known as chloro acetic acid.

Handling

MCA and its strong solution causes serious irritant to eyes and skin. While handling this product, please wear goggles, gloves and safety shoes. Handle with care, no hooks allowed. In case of large spillage wash it with plenty of water. In case of injury to skin, wash it water and then wash thoroughly with soap and water. Regardless of the seriousness of the case, medical attention should be sought. 

Storage

MCA is stored in a cool dry place. Ensure proper ventilation in storage area. Keep them away from heat sources, direct sun light and moisture. It is stored in container made of, or lined with polypropylene or high density polyethylene.

Packing

MCA is packed in 50 Kgs HDPE bag / Paper bag containing polyethylene liner inside.

Applications

• Herbicides such as 2.4D, 2,4,5 Trichlorophenoxy acetic Acid etc.
• Sequestering agents such as Sodium salt of Ethylene Diaminetetria acetic Acid (EDTA), Nitriloacetic Acid etc.
• Sodium methoxide, methyle monochloro acetate,
• coumarin & barbituric acid.
• Carboxymethyl Starch.
• Glycolic Acid
• Thioglycolic Acid
• Cyanoacetic Acid and it its Easters
• Dichlophenal sodium
• MCPA (2 methyl-4-chlorophenoxyacetic acid)
